Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.

Pupil premium funding is available to Chater Infant School as it is a Community School.

Funding

Financial year 2017 to 2018

In the 2017 to 2018 financial year, Chater Infant School will receive the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years:

  • £1,320 for pupils in Reception Year to Year 2

Early Years Pupil Premium is also received by the school for each child registered as eligible in the Nursery.  The funding equates to up to £300 extra per year for each disadvantaged child who meets the eligibility criteria.

Using the pupil premium effectively and evidencing what works at Chater

At Chater Infant School we use Pupil Premium funding to support identified pupils and we monitor their progress to measure the impact of the approaches that we are using.
